Feather Touch Brows

WHAT IS FEATHER TOUCH BROWS?

Feather Touch Brows also known as Brow Microblading or Feathering is a semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo. This technique creates super fine, hair-like strokes on to your skin giving you a natural, fuller looking brow. This treatment is performed by our co-owner Candy Chambers who is a fully certified PhiBrows Artist. She uses the highest quality pigments on her clients and sterile, disposable tools to ensure safe hygiene practice.

DOES IT HURT?
Pain thresholds differ between people. Some clients fall asleep, where others have felt slight discomfort. We apply a numbing cream during the treatment to help with any discomfort.

DO YOU USE DISPOSABLE TOOLS?
Yes! We use sterile single-use, disposable tools to ensure strict hygiene standards are implemented. Tweezers are thoroughly disinfected and the pencils that measure brows are sharpened then disinfected before each use.

HOW IS THE COLOUR CHOSEN?
We have a large range of pigment colours to cater from blondes, brunettes to redheads. We will recommend the best colour to suit your natural brow hair and skin. This will be discussed with you at the beginning of your treatment.

DO MY BROWS NEED TO BE SHAPED PRIOR?
No. Unlike a traditional tattoo, it’s best to arrive to your appointment with as many natural hairs as possible. We do a complimentary brow shape before starting the treatment.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Feather Touch Brows generally lasts 12 months to two years. It varies between person to person due to skin type, genetics and other factors.

DO I STILL NEED BROW TINTING & SHAPING AFTER I’VE HAD FEATHER TOUCH BROWS DONE?
Your hair will continue to grow as normal around the feather touch brows tattoo, so brow shapes are still needed. Only light coloured brow hair will still need tinting.

IS MICROBLADING SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE?
Different health conditions and medications may make you unsuitable for the treatment so we do an in depth consultation prior to your appointment to try and eliminate any problems that may occur. We may ask you to bring a Doctor’s certificate from your GP in some cases.

People who may not be suitable are:

- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- If you use Accutane
- Using blood thinning medication
- Prone to keloid scarring
- Skin diseases or irritations such as Psoriasis, Eczema or Dermatitis
- Heart issues
- Diabetes
- Undergoing or have undergone Chemotherapy recently

People with really oily skin types don’t hold the brow pigment as well. So an additional third session may be required to perfect the tattoo for oily skins.

Make sure to wash your hair the day before your appointment as you won't be able to wet your new Feather Touch Brows for 7 days after your treatment.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON THE DAY:

Please arrive to your appointment 15 minutes early.  We will invite you into our treatment room and go through the consultation form with you where you can ask any questions that you may have. After that, we'll get you to lay down on the bed and start measuring the brows and outline them with a brow pencil. A mirror will be given to you to show you where we will perform the microblading. Once happy with the outline, we do a complimentary brow shape. The microblading process will begin with the initial hair-like strokes/scratches. After that, we apply numbing cream to both brows. We will then go over these initial strokes and put in more pigment. When we have finished the treatment, we apply a healing aftercare balm and go through the aftercare instructions and answer any further questions that you may have.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS:

We will give you an aftercare balm to take home with you, please apply a light coat to your brows twice a day for 7 days. If you start getting scabs, then you aren't applying enough aftercare balm. Scabbing will pull the pigment out and your healed result won't be at it's best. Do not pick any scabs that may have formed.

Things to avoid for the next 7 days:

  • Direct water contact
  • Sweating (no exercise)
  • Sun exposure
  • Make up on the area
  • Swimming
  • Creams, lotions, skincare or oils - Use only the aftercare balm provided by us

Your new Feather Touch Brows will go darker after the first few days, this will lighten up and settle into the skin nicely after a week.
